Hello. My name is Kirk Palmer and this is my 3rd year at Rockdale High School. I grew up in the small town of Bremond, TX. I was the youngest, yet largest, of my family of educators. My dad recently retired from Burton ISD where he served as the superintendent for 12 years, my mom just retired from Bremond ISD where she served as a kindergarten teacher for 26 years, my sister is the new Assistant Principal of Davila Middle School in Bryan ISD, and my brother is an assistant baseball coach at East Texas Baptist University. That is not mentioning my aunt who recently retired from the Cy Fair district as a world geography teacher and both of my grandmothers who were teachers at one point. I guess you can say education is in our blood.
I attended and graduated from East Texas Baptist University where I played football and studied Kinesiology. After college I was a junior high teacher and coach at Palestine ISD. I then was an Algebra I Block teacher, assistant offensive line coach, and an assistant softball coach for Willowridge High School of Fort Bend ISD, which is located on the south portion of Houston. I have enjoyed my experiences at my previous schools, yet I am excited to be a part of a school with such a rich history, that exudes pride in both athletics and academics.
I will be serving as the Algebra I teacher, as well as assisting football as the Head Offensive Line Coach and assisting softball with my beautiful wife, Erin Palmer. My daily schedule is as follows.
